Notable Women Authors of the Day includes 30 author interviews originally published in the magazine Lady’s Pictorial.

Helen C. Black describes the author and her home, sharing with the reader details of domestic arrangements and writing habits.  The profiles create a strong sense of these women as both feminine and professional writers.  Told in the second person, the interviews create an immediacy and intimacy between the authors and the reader.

This Victorian Secrets edition will include a preface from Andrew Maunder (University of Hertfordshire) and an introduction to Helen C. Black from Troy Bassett (Indiana U-Purdue U Fort Wayne).  There will also be additional information on each of the authors and an accompanying website with further material.
